What a time for bearing failure

Got home at 1:30 A.M. today just in time to keep one of the idler pulleys from falling off. About a mile from home I heard a screech that sounded like a cat being tortured. Then it stopped as I was pulling up the street. Popped the hood to find the lower flat pulley hanging by few threads of the bolt. Went to bed. Tossed and turned till 6:00 A.M. then got up and removed the pulley. Lost the nut on the end of the bolt. |!"/$%?&*( Brought it in the house and found the bearings seized. Found a NAPA part number online 6203-2RSJ so I will press the old ones off and bring them to the local NAPA to see if they can match them. This might involve a trip to the USA if they don't have any in stock. FML.

Had to do some running around, 35 miles out of town but I found a place with the exact fit. KBC bearings #6003 DD C3. http://www.kbcbearings.com

Socket and hammer Pound out and back in, pulley now on truck and we are once more blown.

Glad it was just a bearing. You are getting good service from your set up.

From what I can gather it is holding up rather well. Four years in May as a Daily Driver.
