No horrible deal. S/C set up is incomplete and you need to buy the rest of the hoses as the junk yard cut them all, heat exchanger etc etc... So the S/C alone may be worth 1500 as would the motor if it was new although they go for less then that. So you are buying ~2500 worth of crap for 5k...

wake up
Take the time to look at the ebay auction before you start typing. A 5.4 motor from an 07 HD edition' with the Saleen 2.4L twin screw attatched and all the electronics hooked up. With 18 k miles on it for $5000. No there isnt a whole wrecked truck that comes with it. Price a low mileage take out engine. price a saleen blower. new or used . Now keep in mind, the supercharger has already been installed on the engine and the pcm has already been programmed to work with what your buying. Granted there is installation time and costs. and more tuning no doubt.. But the best price I've ever seen for the saleen complete kit was $3600. and I havn't seen it again. so you may have to buy a couple radiator hoses and possibly a heat exchanger, But I think a low milage 5.4 with a Saleen twin screw blower already attatched with all the electrical connections and pcm , ready to install. for 5 g's is an OK deal.. My trucks on 05 and driven daily, Ive got 90k on the ticker. Put a motor like this on a stand till its time to install. Sounds good to me.
