turbonetics 5.4 setup.

I bought this setup and mocked up on my lightning motor. I was thinking probably 75 to 100 hp,similar to a procharger at 9psi with no hp loss due to belt.
Thinking will upgrade later but this was a clean setup that I will use as a guide for later on.
Maybe t60 setup.

yeah, thats not a bad setup. Sux havin all the exhaust routing to the turbo, id start over and turn your manifolds around so you dont have 5' of exhuast before the turbo, and a much cleaner install.

Actually the passenger side manifold is turned around. I bought this setup as is and actually install is pretty straightforward. Only need to relocate the ac line from what I see. I plan to modify a different setup over the winter when I purchase my new shortblock.

Yeah,I thought thats what that was also. Came with the setup. Only thing is it is much thicker than foil and has a cloth backing on it. It looks like this material (thermal barrier).

Lots of things I would change on that kit...

If it works though, so be it.

i would mount the turbo another 6-8 inches from the valve cover.. the 1200+F temps will melt the valve covers

Going to install aluminum covers to be safe. On original vehicle the previous owner had no issues with melting of covers.

u should consider vbands rather than the 3 bolt flange.

i had the 3 bolt flanges on my first turbo kit, had some serious leaks and when i removed the kit it pretty much fell off the truck.

new setup is all vband and awesome.
