there are several eatons the M90, M112 and M122 are the most commonly used on Ford vehicles

there is a couple kits that allow the use of the cobra M112 on the 4.2 V-6 motors, there are a few kits that use the M90 on the 4.0 V-6 motors...

what I recomend you do, is sit down, make a plan for your truck that will work with how you use it and how you plan to use it...

then once you have a list of the large pieces, we can help you with the small pieces that make it all possible

and regarding how much boost I'm pushing on my green truck, I know what I'm risking each and every time I see the needle on the boost guage go past zero

Well, my truck for now is just a DD, but when I graduate I am going to buy another truck and my current one is going to be spoiled beyond reason at that point. It will be used for nothing more than driving around/playing around. No towing or anything like that. It will be a beach truck/street queen.

Call me whatever, but I wanna make my 4.6 have some decent power in the lower rpms. I know thats completely opposite of what its made to do, and just about everyone will say.. get a 5.4. If I could get a 5.4 for a decent price then I would just re-build it anyways so I dont mind some mileage being on it. I am having trouble finding a 5.4 separate from a whole truck .

I am down for piecing together a S/C set-up. Maybe if I find a blower for a decent price then I will pick it up and ask you guys what all I need to make it work. Maybe if I just buy it in pieces I will be less likely to notice that I am still spending 3-4 grand. Spending that much at once for something is nuts to me. :o

I'm not calling you anything

but you ought to look into the tork tech kit, it's an eaton M112 set up for a 2 valve PI 4.6

I know of 2 '04-'06 4.6 F-150's with this set up

Right. But maybe $5 & $10.

I have yet to hear of anyone with an M90 on a truck being totally happy with it. By the time you spin an M90 fast enough to get some decent boost out it, it makes a ton of heat. Trying to make the larger one fit is a tough job and expensive project, and still a lot of heat to deal with.

I would suggest a used Procharger or Vortech. They are out there at fair prices, and the used parts are available everywhere.

Here's one experience: https://www.f150online.com/forums/su...dyne-long.html

You are right man, I have been looking around in town for one. I have checked probably 16 or 17 different yards in town and the only one that I found was taken out of a 2002 expedition hit head on really hard! I wasnt about to take that. Guess I will have to check out ebay.

Guess knowing where to look helps.

If I were to go with the tork tech kit then I would need to get PI heads as well wouldn't I? Would it be safe running a non-built block with that much compression and then slapping a supercharger on it?

On those tork tech kits.. do you buy one kit or the other being intercooled vs. not and then click each other option as "upgrades"?

I am looking for something easy to pick up parts for pretty much. This is not something I am looking to slap on tomorrow. I can "nickel and dime" parts no problems. I have always heard good things about Procharger, and wouldnt mind owning one at all. Is there a certain kit I need to buy or? You guys say the parts are pretty easy to come by so I think if I buy a decent chunk of what I need now then I can just start tying up the loose ends soon.

Very true... I also found a complete lightning intake assembly + blower for sale on ebay. It's at $600 right now. God I wish I was working full-time right now.
