Question Roush i/c vs non-i/c

Roush is pushing there old non-i/c kits on their site for $2400.

Other than the usual, cooler temps, bigger power, what are the differences?

I've talked to them and they say 04-06 only. I've got a 07 5.4, I can get the tuning done locally.

For half price is it worth it?

You're pretty much limited to additional mods and more boost without an intercooler. If you think you can be happy with the base amount of power, go for it. If you want more later or the ability to get more power, get the i/c model. They make a kit to upgrade the manifold to i/c, but at the price you'd have been better off with i/c in the first place.

The problem with the 07-08s is there is no holes in the crank pulley and the electronic fan clutch. Both issues are addressed by Roush in the i/c kit as supplemental parts for 07-08s. This and they may not offer a non-intercooled PCM tune for the later models is all I can see as the primary differences between 04-06 and 07-08.

honestly I'd either go intercooled or not at all...

unless you wanted to build your own intake manifold and fab in an air to air intercooler
