Magnacharger

I'm purchasing one of these kits for my 2005 KR and wondering how reliable they've been. Anyone have alot of miles on their magnacharged 5.4?

have been running mine now for just over 15 months, but low mileage as I only use the truck to go to work and I live 5 miles from work. No complaints now, but if you decide to get one, have some money set aside for a custom tune as the stock ones are not all that great, well mine wasn't at least but just keep that in mind. There is a guy here anaheim_drew who I think has had one the longest for our model year trucks, he has a post out here in the supercharger section with periodic updates of how his is running, been a couple years of reliable service for him.

Thanks for the replies. Also I was reading some where on the forum about a problem with stalling. Anything to worry about, or is it a 1 in a million thing that a tune would fix?

that was my post, the stalling was due to a bad wire connection on the throttle body.

I had the same issue but I think its just a coincidence they were both magnachargers stalling out, the weazel is on the magnacharger tune and I have a custom tune. I also bumped up my rpms a bit for idle and such but I also unplugged the two connectors on the TB used an electric contact cleaner and reseated the connectors and have yet to stall at a stop light or see the rpms drop down low. Its been running pretty good.
