Well .1 off your 60 foot its probably .2 off your quarter mile time. I have no idea what JDM's 60 foot is but say its 2.0 on stock KDWs and 23" rims, if you can pull a 1.9 or even 1.8 then you would lose .2-.4 off the quarter mile time.

Making a 12.6 a 12.4-12.2 time. If they are having a 2.1 60' it would be 12 flat. However if they are at a 1.8 or 1.9 right now then all that I have said is null. I doubt they can do that on street tires, so my guess is their 60 foot at best is 2.0-2.1.

Pulling a 1.7 or 1.6 60 foot would be one hell of a time, dunno what that truck is truely able to do though. When I go to the track I pull off a 2.2 or 2.3 60 foot because of zero traction, however once I go wide open throttle I've noticed against whatever I'm racing if it runs a 13.9 or 14.0 my truck never gains and never gets pulled on. If I had a 2.0 60' instead of a 2.3 and take off .6 of the quarter mile time I'd be right at 13.9 which I believe is right for my truck. If I had drag radials I feel confident I could pull off a 2.0 60' if not a 1.9 and get that 13.9 timeslip.

I have the saleen 23's on my truck right now and once I get her all built I am going to have a spare set of wheels for when I take it to the track or just feel like having a little fun. As for me, I am building a show truck so numbers are a factor and could help me obtain more sponsors and draw more attention to my truck. I am going to get some centerlines and put some DR's on there. Probably a 315/35/17 on the back and I'm not sure about the front yet.

JDM's truck was pulling 1.9 60' I beleive. They posted what their 60' was on here somewhere.

All the talk that's been thrown around in this thread screams BS on the above statement.....doesn't it?

I am assuming you are talking about me and you can think whatever you want-its not BS. It never made 10 psi-8 psi max and when I tuned it it was making right at 400 rwhp. It is a 2wd FX2 Screw full weight and ran 4.10's and a 28" M&H DR. It would go through the traps at about 5000. Here is the timeslip and video. Go ahead and call BS now.

FX4matt is not impressed either.

Dropping that 60' to 1.9 really helps. Good 70 degree weather got that mph up some.

I wouldnt think thats BS. Alot of people are running 13.5 with 420 or so RWHP but are 4wd and dont run drag radials. That why I think breaking into the 12s isnt a big issue.

What size drag radials were they? I was looking at the M&H 345/40/18s myself.

I am slower, but I have less power and more weight, and I can drive mine in the snow/mud. IMO you should have a faster time then them.

Yea I know its not a big deal but I just wanted to clarify to the guy who called my claim BS. You dont need to go to such a wide tire-I was only using 275/50-17 on stock XLT wheels and I never had a problem with traction. Going from the 32" tire to the 28" was night and day as you can imagine. That 345 is nice and meaty though and looks nice.

just to clarify... I never called it BS myself. I was merely insinuating that everyone elses claims didn't jive with yours. Either they're wrong or you are. I've got no beef. I watched those videos a while back by the way.

Yea the 275 looks real nice and probably would work fine, once I go built motor though I dunno how well it would handle 20psi on built block and tranny and all that but never know!

I think people dont realize how a good 60 foot time will help a quarter mile time. All these guys making more power then me and have no traction arn't getting close to the time they should.

STS turbo kit, Modmax crank, Manley rods and pistons, JDM fuel system....... Over $10g's in go-fast just to go 13.49 w/ 468rwhp? My train of thought is if you can do all that on an 07, plus all the other stuff he's done, then he should be able to afford a driveshaft u[grade and a stronger rear too. I don't get why the boost hasn't been upped if even just for the sake of seeing what it's capable of.

Just my 2 cents...
Well....the reason I haven't is things keep breaking and I'm not a millionaire. I have a new heavy duty steel drive shaft in it now, but my pinion bearing in my rearend went out, so now I'm waiting to get that fixed. When I demolished my old drive shaft it burned out my stall and the pump in my tranny, so I had to have that fixed. My turbo is maxed out at 12 1/2 pounds of boost, so I would need a bigger one to get any more HP and thats a pretty penny. I've been pretty busy this summer. My troyer electric fans have been sitting in my bedroom for 3 months now. And the tune on the truck is extremely conservative....because I don't want anything else to break lol. Everyone has a limit to how much the will dump in their money pit.
