your truck tensioner is aimed wrong, you have to re position it in order for the mustang bracket to be used, and it's basicly re-arranging one of the bolts holes, "amoosenamedhank" on the mustang forums did this on his 5.4 swap...

 

What is the difference between the 4.6L f150 vortech bracket, and the 5.4 one

 

nothing but your using one off a mustang.

 

i found one on ebay for a 1997-03 f150 4.6

 

and you can't use the mustang head unit on the F-150 bracket unless you re-clock the blower...
