Feeling The Crunch

I know a lot of you guys on here are Boosted like myself. I was wondering how everybody is dealing with the ever increasing fuel costs?

well for the last few years my wife has been budgeting our fuel cost, so we just put less into savings and more for the fuel. That and I try to combine trips now when I go out and about.

To be honest I would be paying the same if I wasnt SC because i ran the 93 perf tune NA. The plus side to SC'd is that i am actually picking up 1mpg better in city driving then when I was NA.

So now I just buy less beer and we eat out less to help withthe fuel cost.

Fortunately, I got a company car this year with a fuel card. If I wouldn't have gotten this car, I would have driven my truck a little less and stayed out of boost (as much as I could). There's no way I'm getting rid of it.

Truth is, when a tank is $100+, requiring premium doesn't really mean much. It's like $5 more.

BTW, what's everyone average with the Roush. I still have the Roush tune, and have had to drive my truck for work for the last several weeks, and I can only get about 14.5 mpg driving easy. It is hard to stay out of the boost.

Will getting MT's tune make the mileage better or worse? I don't like the way the Roush tune utilizes the electronic boost dump, it really annoys the crap out of me at times.
