larger maf housing? not a larger maf?

what kind of Kit are you refering to? supercharger? if so centrifugal or roots type?

turbocharger? if so where is your maf? is it blow thru or suck through?

if your upgrading the maf what size injectors are you running?

give us some info.

to tell you the truth im not sure what size the housing is, i do know that it uses the factory MAF sensor tho..... i know bbk makes a 80mm tb and was thinking about getting it.....

factory maf!?!?

wouldnt that really limit your chances for some really good hp/tq numbers?

im running 90mm maf but needed a maf extender because i was pegging out the maf!

(mines turbocharged so its a totally different setup than a supercharger)

Sorry,,,didn't notice you had an 06.
I don't know if there different or not but they probably are.

I don't have any #s for that but I would think with a blower you should see at least 20 or so HP.Maybe more

Wait,

you need to be more specific...

earlier you said larger TB and maf housing.

a larger maf housing is not the same as larger maf air sensor.

i mean you could have an 80mm maf in a 90mm maf housing and its still an 80mm maf.

and the only way to improve it would be to upgrade to a bigger maf.

not the housing.

the housing matters yes.. for me on my setup i have a 90mm maf in 3'' pipe. while we were tuning, the tuner said i either needed a maf extender or a bigger intake tube for the maf. we were pegging out the maf.

so which is it? bigger maf or bigger maf housing?

so to better answer your question...

yes a larger maf will give you gains, as long as you have large enough injectors to go with it for the a/f ratios.

the larger maf wont do anything for you without a tune. infact if u put a larger maf without a tune it may run like ***.

a large maf in a small housing may be pegged out a lot easier........ but with your setup being that the maf is suck thru and not blow thru i cant imagine that being a problem.

you can use the stock maf but get a larger housing to give it a larger range but with your set up I would not worry about it. I am pushing 400rwhp and still using the stock maf and the Roush maf housing.
