Hey guys, I have the STS turbo system on my 2008 F150 Limited. From what I understand, I was the first and only F150 running the upgraded GT67 turbocharger on the truck. It works awesome. A few things I would like to clear up as I have a lot of experience turbocharging and using their systems as well. First, people that speak of turbo lag have issues with the vehicle, tune, or have gone with too big of a turbo. Like I said, I have the GT67 upgrade on mine and the thing makes a Roush F150 look like it's standing still and I am currently at 5psi working out some bugs with the tune. Second, any one that talks about bad weather being a ****ty mix with this kit has NO BASIS TO TALK. I installed mine in November, has seen -60C weather w/windchill, seen snow, ice, slush, and now rain, and it WORKS FLAWLESS. This is Canada and I wish I had the driving conditions that most of you share most of the year. The only thing I would say is that it probably is not for the offroading guy. I would stick with an under the hood solution there. I have put 12000km and have had a small issue with the throttle body 90 degree coupler blowing off when it was really cold, but other than that, it has been flawless. I think it is a viable solution to superchargers and I find the power and and torque much more usuable than the Roush charged trucks. It also sounds amazing and keeps the noise level down compared to the competitors. I vowed never to buy an American vehicle but I have had 2 F150's (06 and now my 08) and now with the STS solution, I LOVE my truck and believe I bought the best gas jobber on the market. Cheers everyone!

Agreed bluebeast. But to clear things up, the STS guys here have done quite a few chevys, they just finished an intimidator ss, have a couple tt vettes running around, but I am still the only turboed f150....but not for long, too many people know of my truck now and they want the same thing

Hey guys, I will post some pics ASAP....well, I do not have any dyno sheets as there are no 4wd dynos here. There is a guy who just bought a dynapak but doesn't have the 6 bolt hubs for it. What is the max image file size I can upload?

My goal in that for summer, the truck will run 10psi w/injection....boost gauge says 4psi now. I blew the doors off a new Tundra that had bolt ons and a 06 Silverado SS w/a predator. I think the truck might be running 350awhp right now....

I am gonna try to post some vids on youtube shortly....

F150's are the best

not so fast buddy! theres quite a bit of turbo f150's unless your refering to the only actual Squires Turbo system then okay.

but the only turbo'd f150 - no.

and yeah, i agree. remote mount turbo setups work very well.

how much was your setup jdmsupra? cost wise is it in the same range as a supercharger to acheive the gains your claiming? thanks

From what I understand, I am the only STS turboed 04-08 F150 in Canada. I do not know of any other turboed 04-08 in Canada (I know I was the second kit out of STS) but have seen the older body style with turbochargers in the US (underhood). I just wanted to make my limited even more "limited" by being the only one with turbo power! I own #54 of 750 here and unfortunately, there are a few others running around in the same city.

As for costs, the STS kit is cheaper in the end. I was thinking about maybe organizing a group buy but I think the kit is cheaper or on par with a SC but the install time is probably like 4 hours less at least. I can not confirm how much power I am running but I am not running the standard kit on my truck. Their numbers are usually conservative.

well, boost lag is hard to explain....especially in the truck. From a roll, none that I can say.....boost lag is minimal....I have raced a Roushcharged F150 (07 4X4 and he said he was in 2wd when we raced) and he beat me off the line, maybe half a truck (within my boost lag from a full stop....I have AWD and I honestly do not know how to properly launch the truck and I don't really want to know any ways) but then I was gone. I am sure their standard kit has very little lag if any. I am suprised that my truck has relatively no lag compared to my 04 V6 custom turbocharged Eclipse.....if I am caught in the wrong gear in that car, I'm done. It's hard to describe honestly....especailly if you have a truck in 2wd....you would preload to be in the sweet spot anyways....as for everyday driving, lag has NEVER been an issue. Maybe I will take a video driving around to show what I mean. BTW, if any one is interested in these kits, msg me and I will send you the contact info for the F150 STS guys and they will give board members good deals.
