I have a friend who has one on his 06 Mustang GT. The kit is very nice, and the install was very simple and straight forward. I'm think about getting one of their universal kit's for my 03 F150. I like the fact that the turbo is a rear mount and not in the engine compartment which equals lower under hood temps. Another thing that I like is the piping coming from the rear of the car that goes into the inctercooler. By the time that the hot air has left the turbo and on it's way to the intercooler, the hot air has lost some of heat due to the fact that it is being piped to the front of the vehicle and the passing air accross the piping is pulling heat from the air and making a cooler air charge before going into the intercooler and then it is cooled again as it passes through the intercooler for a very cool intake charge. These kits do require a very good tune to produce big #'s but all I would want is a good "safe" tune with a good air/fuel ratio. These kits are very nice and very effecient.

The baddest camaro I ever bumped into was running a STS turbo kit with a BIG turbo, intercooled, with a built motor. When he would go WOT, all hell would break loose. I never saw that car lose and it went up against Vipers, Kenne Belle Cobras, the new Z06, GT500, etc etc.

Good kits.

I'm wondering if it's possible to place an STS kit in front of a RoushCharger.

I've heard this being done on other applications, but I'm not sure if this is feasible on the existing configuration.

Now, before you ask "why on earth would you want keep the Roushcharger?", remember this:
  1. Running a roots/screw supercharger in series with t/c retains low-end torque.
  2. Considering the Roushcharger came with the truck, it's easy to remove the t/c and apply it to a different configuration later on.
  3. Imagine the noise! Blower whine+blowoff chirp=heaven on earth.

I am not a big fan of them personally, my friend has one on his '00 SS and it has alot of lag. The amount of thermal energy LOST by the time the exhaust gets to the turbo is crazy. So really, they are not as efficient as a true turbo setup....and if you drive in bad weather...ugh.

The site does not seem to be updated for '97 to '03. . . .or were you referring to the universal kit?

It is currently under development and alot of testing and fitting and research is being done. It should be avilailable in Feb. I called them up in late Nov when they were wanting a test vehicle, I was going to jump on it put they are out of Washington state and I live in NC. So that is why I did not take them up on thier offer. They wer offering a killer installed price and my truck "would" have been the 1st 97-03 F150 with their completed kit. But I'll just have to wait and build a nice long block and see what happens late on.

#1: they are oiled from your engines oil

#2: If you run intake piping from the stock type location then probably not...
