what do you think the above mods would cost?
Probably 9 or 10,000 if you did all the installations yourself!

the supercharger and headers will run you $8100, without shipping or taxes

i think prices alone without shipping or taxes would be what built54 said, $13k
add ported heads, and a cam if you want to make the 720 rwhp # so atleast another $2500. add good gaskets and fasterner, bearing to that number and finally a dyno tune.

most viper shops are charging around $24k for a package like this installed with 2 to 3 month delivery date.

If you look you can find an used roe or paxton for 4500-5k. Belgner(sp?) headers for around 1k, used heads for $1500 or so, pratically "new" forged pistons for $100 or less, blah blah blah. It can be done for 10k or under if someone took their time and shopped wisely.

For 20k you can buy a complet "DIY" turbo system and get it tuned. Make 800rwhp(on forged piston engines) on "low" boost. Anything past that and its recomended to do internal upgrades.

A viper is just a pushrod v-10 drivetrain. Big whooopidy do. There i nothing mystical about it. Just a lot of cubes. Throw some boost and/or nitrous and you are going to get monster power.

Big motors are easy to get big horsepower numbers out of, and are a dime a dozen. Take a motor half that size and get those same numbers, and then you have something you don't see everyday, and thats what I hope to end up with.

The guy that built my motor did a 5.4 Lightning. 16PSI and 100 shot and made 793RWHP...Not bad for a 5.4,,,lol.

I can't believe I just read all that bullcrap.

A 1st grader could write better than that dodge guy. Good god! It hurts my heads to read that chit. And I'm drunker than cooter brown right now and I still post decent messages!

Anyways. The Hemi trucks and the V10's are good engines. Both make awesome power and you have to respect them. A regular cab V10 with a blower would stomp most pickups out there... including Lightings... if it's tuned and set-up right.

I don't personally like Mopar, but you have to respect the power their trucks make out of the factory.
