Talking Superchargers???

Been reading on here for a while; figured I'd finally sign up. My little bro just picked up a new 07 f150, crew cab, short bed w/ the 5.4 fx2 package...anyways he is looking at getting a supercharger, lowering it, putting some 20/22's on it etc... Basically he has some cash to spend and isn't holding back it seems...especially since the truck just hit 300 miles and he's had it for about a month.

Long story short is he is looking at superchargers; we've looked all over so far and I was wondering what your "opinion" was about each manufacturer. He has looked at Roush, the magna-charger/magnuson/eaton, vortech, pro-charger, kenne bell, ford-performance and whipple. Since everyone seems to be within 1k or so of each other, what do you recommend? They all seem to make around the same amount of power...so they say. What do you guys run? If you had to do it all over again, would you go a different way? Who has the better package (fuel injectors, tuner, intercooler)?? Since he is going to spend the money, might as well get everything he can. He definately wants the 36/36k warranty too. So who have you dealt with, who would you deal with again.

Also, we live in the Orange County area (fullerton/garden grove) if anyone is local and would be willing to take him for a ride so he knows what he is getting himself into or help him decide...that would be great too

Also, let me add in that if you want to keep this a quiet matter so no one gets their feelings hurt or anything you can pm me or email me at 06f250sd@sbcglobal.net ...again just looking for opinions on people who have done this before.

Thanks again
-Jason

You also need to consider emissions laws being in California because most of those kits aren't CARB certified and will fail the sniffer and visual when the day comes (6 years, and every 2 years there after).

I believe the Roush kit may be the only kit that maintains a factory warranty (Although, in reality it transfers to Roush, but whatever), and I know the Powerworks kit is CARB cert'd. Just not sure if any of the pack is BOTH?

If any, I would think the Roush would be. Anyone know?

Oh, and go intercooled FOR SURE.

Thanks; I forgot to mention that. I talked with magnacharger/magnuson today and they said theres is 50 state and had the 3 year 36k too. Again, thanks for the heads up.

Also, are their any particular vendors that I should be looking at for buying purposes; seems they might have better "deals" when it comes time to buying a kit?

I'll take him for a ride... I'm in Anaheim
Also if he is interested, I have a Roush IC Supercharger that was on an 07 with less than 25 miles on it available

Aww.. Roush is much more up gradable than any other blower out there.

The only system with an alternate belt drive setup.... Only positive displacement blower.

I think everyone on the board is fairly happy with what they have. Drew may have the deal depending on the price.
You might want to consider driving to Fresno and checking out the Whipple in person! Good Luck!

Thanks guys; so far Roush sounds like the way to go but everything is open right now. Ok and I have to ask, why is the Roush supercharger getting sold w/ only 25 miles on it?? Doesn't make since.

What is logical for one person is often not the same for another if they don't have or understand the situation or facts.

Ya like Drew said.
I'm on my third supercharger set up.All of my kits were good.It just took some experimentation to get what I was looking for,,,lol.
