12.5 is a little rich! I run my truck at 11.5 to 11.8 @ 18 PSI

I just installed the Roush non-intercooled supercharger on mine and i'm currently running the Roush tune. I went this way since the lighting trucks have been running the same set up for a few years now. Not only that, but Roush has been around a while and they know what they are doing. They re-program the PCM so as to not damage your truck. I mean come on they still maintain the orginal 3 year/36,000 mile powertrain warranty on mine.

This is not a flame, but 11.5 - 11.8 is richer not leaner .....

The higher the first number (12.5) is the air in the mix, not the fuel...The fuel is the lower (1) number ... So 12:1 is leaner per say than 10:1....

Never claimed to be a "tuner" however I know my way around these trucks and a few Cobras also. Had a 12.00 second '01 Lightning and a 11.20's '03 Cobra that both had A/F's in the mid 11.0range which is a far richer and safer than a forced induction 12.5:1 AF which is lean in my
"opinion". Which only means I would not run one of my forced induction vehicles at that A/F.

I know this. Some of the very first lightings were not even supercharged. I was referring to them in general for the reason of why I went with Roush since they designed the ones for the lighting. I'll stick with that set-up.

You don't have to feel anything, your entitled to mistakes as we all are.

You seem to have that 3 ton Supercrew dialed in very well. Who did the tuning?

farmboy- All SC'd Lightnings and Harleys (99-2004) had Eaton superchargers
as the stock forced induction, not Roush..

Thought Roush and Magnacharger superchargers were made from the Eaton M112 supercharger?

I think Magnacarger is an Eaton M90. Roush might be a M112

I found a local guy here in Delaware that built my motor all but the short block and installed it.He dose all my tuning and only works on Fords, mostly Mustangs and Lightnings. I'm very happy with his work!
Matt at Performance Evolution in Middletown DE.

I'll call Sal and double check with him. I know he said that my AFRs where a little rich on his last e-mail to me. Might even fax my last dyno sheet to him again just to make sure. I definately want to be safe and non-aggressive with my set-up. I really never liked doing the tuning via e-mail in the first place, it just seemed to be more convenient at the time. Now I wish I had done the dyno tune instead.
