One big single turbo or two smaller turbos can conceivably produce the same numbers on the dyno. However, the twin setup will start producing horsepower at a lower RPM. And, in a truck that is where you want alot of power at. FYI, I own a Nissan 300zx with two GT28's and it they start spooling at 2000 RPM, so that I have plenty of power off the line.

How much lower do you think it could possibly be? My friend just swapped over to a Precision 76mm snail and it spools so fast from a dead launch the 10.5 slicks are fighting for grip the first half of the track. Really no reason for a twin turbo setup either than just to say you have it. Performance gains will be nill...and possibly less as it's just added weight.

HI!... Most of the guys around here that have built or bought a vehicle from the factory with twin turbos, switch over to one larger turbo. I have a 3000 stall converter, so I couldn't care less at the H.P I make at 2000 rpm. A T-76 on my engine with my custom turbo grinds will make power from 2800 to 6800RPM. Lot's of power band there to use. Plus I have 4.10 gears so turbo lag out of the hole will be non existant.
