Question Do Superchargers and Warranties mix?

If I install a supercharger on my 2006 F150, will it void my warranty?

That's one of those "it depends..." answers. Technically...no it shouldn't.

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) .
That being said you can almost bet that a dealership will try to void either your powertrain or emissions system warranties if not both if you bring it in for any reason even if it's obvious the supercharger couldn't have caused the failure. Read everything on this page: http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/magnusonmoss.htm and take the info for what it is worth. May have to get tough and shove a copy of this document under a service manager's nose to get something done. I've had to do this with my truck once.

I've had the dealership do warranty work on my truck after the supercharger install, but it wasn't related to the supercharger. I've also ran into the same problem where I had a common problem on the F150's (slip yoke clunk), and they wouldn't fix it under warranty because they said it could be due to the added power destroying the driveline (which wasn't the case). I took it to a driveline specialty shop and had it fixed in half an hour and a tenth the cost of the dealership.

If they prove the supercharger directly caused the problem then yes.

The ROUSH will void your FORD powertrain warranty but Roush itself will warrantee the powertrain portion themselves for 3/36,000 miles.

Question I have is can I go to ANY ford dealer or does it have to be a Roush authorised ford dealer for repairs?
