Supercharger and Headers
Supercharger and Headers
I have a question.....I have an M90 Eaton supercharger on my 2003 F150 with 4.6. I currently have the Magnaflow #15609 with single in and single out catback system.....I have a pair of shorty headers.....Do these shorty headers just bolt right on or do I have to have the Y pipe for this? I've been told that I need to have a dual exhaust for this, but I think that isn't the truth. It might be the ideal setup to have true duels. Please advise.
Thanks,
Brian

They are the summit shorty header and I believe they are 16 gauge steel. They are brand new and a friend gave me them for nothing. I thought what the heck, put them on. Would they do anything for me or would it be a waste of time?

They will probably change the sound of your exhaust ever so slightly, you will probably gain a few hp in the higher rpms. Do you know if they are mild steel or stainless steel? If they are mild, i would paint them, even though it wont stay on long, if they are ceramic or stainless, you are good to go like they are.

So I should be able to just take my truck to a local exhaust shop and they should easily be able to install my shorty headers with little or no modifications? Also, how much would something like this cost?
