I want more POWER what to do???

I have a 2004 f150 4x4 extended cab four door with 5.4 motor. It has Air raid intake on it and leveling kit with 305 wrangler mud terrain tires! Also it has dual straight pipes!I want some more power!!! What is the best supercharger or turbo to put on the truck?? Or should i put a turbo or supercharger on it which one is the best and the safest?? I dont know much at all about them so i need help! Also can you still run chips or programmers on your truck if you get a turbo or supercharger?? I just want my truck to have plenty of power so if there someone sitting next to me in a hemi i can blow him away!!!PLease help sooon! I am wanting to do a mod soon!!

i don't know if you'll be smoking Hemi's on a stock setup but get a blower kit if you want that kind of power. some of them come with a tuner or i would advise getting a Predator or Xcal2 to dial it in. good luck...

Basically you have a choice of two types of superchargers, twin screw( Roush, Eaton, Whipple etc..) & centrifugal( Procharger, Vortex, Paxton etc..) The twin screws are top mounted and are mostly intercooled with an air-water system. They provide great low end torque, more so than the cents. The centrifugal blowers are side mounted, air to air intercooled, which is thought to be more effecient. They provide the power in the mid to high rpm range. You can expect gains of around 100-150 extra hp from either. Both are made to be safe with stock engines. Sometimes larger fuel injectors and fuel pumps are needed. Your stock PCM will need to be retuned. Some kits do include a tuner as mentioned before, Excal 2 or Predator etc.. If you read more through these forums, you will learn everything you'll need to know. You can click the link below for my gallerie to check out my Procharger set-up. Good luck with your choice.

I bought a EDGE tuner many months back and was very happy with the improved performance my 05 F150 screw gained but now with the Roush Supercharger installed its amazing. The truck gains and pulls in every gear so much better and I am getting 0-60 in 6 seconds or less.
