Dyno today!
Dyno today!
Well, quite a dissapointment. Here's what my 06 4x4 Lariat did stock.

Hopefully, after the whipple, LT's, custom tune, and e-fans it will look more like my Shelby!

Whats up man. Actually you should not be disappointed. Your numbers are in the range of what a 4x4 or 4x2 screw is stock. 23-32% loss is the reality. So dont feel bad. Serious.
As for your Whipple, you will need the extra mods to obtain your goal. I think what messes up everyone is that we like to post our top numbers which are after we have done the tune, fans etc to get there. But out the box with the stock tune is a different story...
Example,
05 4x2 Screw
6821 lbs with mods and driver(exhaust is only perf. mod)
7psi Powerworks stock tune, all limiters on out the box
95,94,94 and 93 degree air temp on dynojet
359/400

What kind of dyno was that done on? Conditions that day? The Torque on that Shelby looks low also. Those numbers look more like Mustang dyno numbers which aren't that bad compared to dynojet numbers. A friend just dyno'd a Shelby at 450/450 on a dynojet in Houston weather!!

It was a Dynojet, 101F, close 90% humidity. My whipple will be fininshed today, e-fans installed, and back to the dyno Thursday for the tune. Then next week, after the Dynatech headers are back from Jet-Hot for the coating, I'll run it again and re-tune. Do you think the heat and humidity drug down the numbers?

327 RWHP
431 Torque
Prior to installing the L blower, I had the truck dynoed. Only mods at the time were undrive pulleys, CAI, Flowmaster 50 series SIDO. It produced 205 RWHP. Owners manual says the truck has 260 HP but, I know this is at the flywheel. My point is, I lost about 55 HP just through drivetrain loss.
In the end, I picked up a total of 122 RWHP or about a 60% gain and a bunch more torque.

What tune are you running? I would expect you to be a bit higher. Tires, gears, dyno, weather conditions?

Maybe so but, the dyno don't lie. It was pretty hot the day I had it done. Don't know how much this might have affected it. I too thought it should have made better numbers.

Thanks,

Love that Whiple whine! On the dyno today with the whipple installed. Graphs are in the garage, so the only number I'm 100% sure about is 364 rwhp. Torque was lower than I expected. My best pull was with the Bama Chips tune. If memory serves me right, I picked-up about 25hp over the whipple tune that came with the s/c. Only mod so far is the whipple and tune. Headers and exhuast are next, then I've got to figure out the Fal fan install with the whipple. Btw, Doug loaded anther tune on the Xcal2 for the headers. Can't wait to see the results with the headers Jet-Hot coated.

{Raider.......................your hp is low for that combo}
Found this to be interesting?
From Sal @ PSP...... The 99-00s were in the 315-320 range. The 01-04s, are in the 345-350 range. Those are average numbers for stock trucks.
