Cool Cat removal

Next step after the procharger is the exhaust system in my ´05 FX4 4X4. has anyone removed the cats on this truck?? Any additional stuff needs to be done because of the O2 sensor?? Help please. Where I live, emissions is not a problem at all.

Flavio,
We used to just bore out the cat on our cars when I was younger, so it was free flowing and you didn't need to remove anything. I cannot respond by pm but I responded to your inquiry about shipping and such in the thread, Whipply, Trilogy, Roush which to choose.

flavio - I am looking at exhaust upgrade, too. As I understand it, the better way to go is with one high flow cat on each side in place of two. The high flow single cats from Magna flow are legal, and will not cause problems with CEL's.

Yeah, I got your answer and transmitted it to my buddies here. Will let you know if they decide to get your system. About the cat removal, installing high flow cats is what I didn´t want, in that case I would rather leave the stock ones. Is it possible to completely remove them and not replace them??. I don´t want to have to mess with the tuning anymore than necessary. Thanks for your answers.
With the stock exhaust, under boost, it sounds like an air pipe, no growl ˇˇ
