According to snow performance I will easily be able to use the Diablo to tune myself for the 9 psi upgrade and the meth/water injection. I hope that is so.

Yes...my methonal kit is installed but not being used because I did not have time to dyno tune for it last time I had the truck tuned. As it stands though, without the meth., I am running almost 14 psi through a 3-core sheet metal FMIC. My IAT is right in front of the throttle body and the truck is tuned for that. My meth. nozzle is about 6" before the IAT so it will see the lower intake temp. as well I'll be adding a lot of timing too along with pulling out some fuel. Even with moderate tuning of the meth injection I will be well over 400 rwhp with no other changes. My comment about the engines able to take the power is just that...don't worry about those so-called "limits" an engine can take. At 9 psi and proper tuning your engine will hardly break a sweat. That said, you need the power to tune very accurately and that may require either a custom dyno tune or some ability to accurately datalog coupled with very extensive tuning software. Some people say that 400 rwhp or 450 rwhp is the limit of these 5.4's but really if they blew an engine at those levels then that was the limit of their tuning.

9 PSI Upgrade

Hey everybody new to the forum

I am also upgrading my Powerdyne to nine pounds. I have installed Denso plugs, Bypass valve, boost gauge. I will be installing a Kenne Bell Boost A Pump and Boost a Spark, 9 lb Pulley and 10:1 FMU so the pressure does not build to high in the fuel rails. I have stock injectors. What else do I need to do to upgrade.

Welcome Jason- I bumped WLF's thread RE: pulleys to the top of the s/c threads for you to look at. He has tried many different combinations.
The standard fuel / air upgrades are 90 mm mass air meter and 42# injectors. With these and a good tune, the FMU is no longer needed. Many consider the FMU to be an evil device.

By the way, I'm not sure what a boost a pump is, but a 190 lph or 255 lph Walbro is all the fuel supply you will need with the 90 & 42's. LOL

Kenne Bell Boost a Pump

The boost a pump made by Kenne Bell increases the pumping capacity of a stock pump by 50%. It has an inside controller that mounts inside of the cab and is fully adjustable from 0 -50%. It is installed inline of the fuel pumps wiring. If you want more details go to KenneBell.com and click on assc. If I had to do it all over again I would have bought a KB kit it seems like they have their s^!t together. Read their FAQ's they a lot of good info.

It makes no sense to take an eight year old fuel pump, and " overdrive " it to increase capacity, when you can buy a new one for under $ 100 and install it in about four hours. LOL

By the way - I installed a new 2.5 pulley today, and at 9+ psi, I am still running rich with my Walbro 190 lph fuel pump.

I found this link looking for the definition of Lambda. I am shopping for a Wideband O2 and gauge. Wouldn’t you know it, Chuck gave me the answer in this post.
I agree with ONELOWF. The Walbro 190lph fuel pump is cheap and fits in the stock location with no modification. Why overclock your stock fuel pump which is probably getting a little worn out. Using the boost-a-pump for higher boost applications is fine but start with a good pump.
