I think you will be the happiest with the Lightning/Harley conversion.

Dozens of guys have made the move and all are delighted with the results. If you set it up with 12 psi boost, you should put down 330-340 RWHP with gobs of torque to get that sled off the line. I have done it and rarely open my hood. All parts ore OE and will run for 100,00+ miles with virtually no maintenance. I think you will find the cost to be slightly lower than any of the aftermarket setups.

Most of the guys who chimed in on JonJon's thread to offer help are members of the fold.

Consider discussing this, What caused you to consider another supercharger system after deciding on another system?

When people ask for pros and cons of systems, usually a thread will go down hill because consumers have spent so much time, money, effort, money and money on a particular system that, some consumers take it it very personal when anyone has a different preference than their own. As well as, some can only advocate for their system by making derogatory or inflammatory remarks about another form of forced induction.

What you see so far in this thread, are honest reviews about a system without making negative remarks toward other systems. However, this is a rare occurrance in this section. However, I hope this trend continues.

If your truly want an unbiased view point, use the SEARCH function on this site, read all you can and develop your own view point.

im not sure to go with the roots or the centrivical supercharger, i like what the roots style has to offer, but a system like procharger looks way easier to install...do u guys think that the two are as equil in difficulty to instal?...i have also heard the roots style gets prety hot where its not so much the case in the procharger systems...but would a svt swap system really be good or better than a procharger?

Only 10 10mm bolts hold the intake manifold on. No sealer like older engines. Remove small bolts and pull manifold off. Set lightning manifold on heads and reusable gaskets, install bolts. Thats it. All the work under the hood for all kits is not difficult at all. With all kits, under the hood, you will be unbolting and bolting on parts. The fuel pump install for all kits is far more difficult.

The price for the fastest response is higher heat. But heat is not the problem. Its all about the chip. Regardless of what kit you choose, the chip must be programmed correctly or you will have problems. Trust me, I know.

"As good" or "better"? Really too subjective to answer. However.... No offense to anyone, but the lightning supercharger system is oem quality, has been tested in more conditions than any other "kit", is the most reliable, most durable and most versatile. Why? It had to be, it was installed on new vehicles by Ford at the Ford assembly plants. Infact, an entire "cottage industry" has been built around it.

Just pick one that you like. If you try it and do not like it, sell it and try another one. More than several have done so. This is not a life and death decision, this is suppose to be fun. So go have some.

I have the ATI on my 5.4L F-150. It is a great kit but either way you go you will have fun driving with boost however it may be delivered. My suggestion would be to try and test drive both types of blowers. Just keep in mind that for most of us, and probably you too, the quest for more power doesn't end.
