Factory Lightning SC compatible with 97 5.4L?
Thanks for all the replies. Based on what I've seen here, it looks like I would be better off with an aftermarket kit.
FWIW, my Expedition is equipped with the E4OD transmission according to my manual. "E4OD transmissions are used with 5.4L engine applications." Its also a 4X4. The drivetrain setup looks like its extremely stout.

Hey Mad.! How is it running? Can you provide a comparison between the lightning set-up and your former ATI set-up?
I still need your help with my fuel mods.
Well, so far, without mods I love it. While the all out power is not yet up to the level (note "not yet") of my ATI setup, the low rpm driveability is superior.
I should have it modified and on the Dyno before the end of the month.

.....after seeing the results of the improvements you made to the ATI system, I can hardly wait to see the combo of mods, that you come up with for the lightning set-up, for max. results.......since I am going to want those mods as well!!!!!!!!!!

I have worked fairly closely on two of these projects. Originally, it was believed ALL Lightning parts needed to be swapped. Now we know you can bolt it up, run it, then let Dom tune it. Just upgrade the rest as it breaks.

Yeah, I figure that the very custom tuning that Dom can provide should max. the potiential of a lightning swap.

Anybody who has an OE supercharger setup that they intend to install their truck might benefit from the list of parts I have compiled that are necessary.
Send me an e-mail or a PM and I'll share the information with you.
