Best HP for the dollar is the Superchips chip or microtuner. Only problem I see is that once you start modding, you never really finish (Just ask IronHorse sometime) and the Superchips has to be custom burned for things like MAF, supercharger and other such mods. The microtuner is the easist mod you can ever do...less than 15 minutes and the dirtiest part is pulling the fuse to the fuel pump when you start. Adds nice shifts to an automatic and increases the hp by about 10% as well.

Well, it's not cheap but supercharging will net you the biggest gains (short of some major engine work). It seems like a huge investment. You may be poorer for a while, but the pay off will keep you happy while your poor. It has for me any how.

Intake, exhaust and chip are generally considered the three best bang for the buck mods. It is really hard to stop there though!

I think that N/A modifications over time are more expensive than buying a S/C. I could have had a S/C for the price I've paid for N/A mods. I think I'm going to stay N/A...less to worry about (like crashing from excessive speed ).

Thanks for the help, i decided to save up and go with the supercharger, what is the best one for the money, my friend says a vortec would be good, but i was wondering others oppinons on this matter, and what would be the best way to go, leave everything stock, or do i have to upgrade my pistons and everything?

With the out-of-box setups, you won't need to do any internal modifications to your engine. Just things like spark plugs, and a tuned chip is recommended. But, it never seems to stop there, lol.

If you can afford it go with the ATI Procharger. That's just my personal choice.

When you decide to purchase, contact Crash and he'll hook you up.
