Still don't know what it is, but at about 2 am this morning, I broke something. I heard it at first, sounded like a large gush of air. Then my throttle stopped responding, and soon there after, it stalled. I was able to limp it to my destination, but it had to be pushed the final 2 feet. It kept stalling, and would not hold an idle. I was running it hard at the time, so my first reaction was that I blew a piston/ring or something. I started to assess the situation and try and diagnose the problem. After calming down, I figured that I just blew off and intercooler tube. So I checked under the hood, and underneath as best I could, everything appeared to be in working order. I also could tell, that for the brief moments that is was running, it seemed to run fine. My next guess is the torque converter. I guess I think it may have seized up, and the gush I heard was the fluid from inside it bursting out. But I looked under the truck, no signs of fluid anywhere. I thought of a dozen other things, and checked them, chip came out, etc. Nothing. So I need everyones help on this one. I am going to check it during the day, see if there is anything wrong that I can see. Obviously I have the service engine light on now. So it could be an inteake thing, a tranny thing, or even an EEC thing. Don't know. Please everyone chime in with there ideas.

Did you check to see if any sensor had come unplugged? If the MAF is not plugged in, it will start fine but not idle at all. I would thing if it was mechanical you would hear or smell something to give you an indication of what broke. Hope it is not fatal. Let us know what you find.
