It's in. Feels good. Too bad I can't go full throttle on the street as my tires will lose it. In cruise, I can't feel anything (awesome) but at 1/4 throttle, I can feel the improved shifting. Can't wait to go to the track.

Mount the I/C yet?

 

Not yet. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure I'll install it. I saw a post here where someone installed an I/C and saw no increase in power even when he installed another pulley to bring him up to the original boost. My truck is running hard now and don't wish to weaken it. Still thinking though.

 

Give it a shot, don't know till you try it!! With the amount of boost you're running, it'll be safer on your motor.

i had a friend who has a transmission shop install it. He charged me 80 bucks. He says he usually charges 150. On 1/4 mile times, don't have an answer. Haven't gone to the track lately.

 

How much was the shift kit?

Can you feel a difference in quickness?

 

it was bout 100 plus tax and shipping. the shifting has improved and cant tell on how fast im going until i go to the track.

 

Mine was $98.95 from KDS Performance. Plus $7 shipping plus and extra buck for insurance. Ended up spending only $106.95.

It should be here on Monday, and I cannot wait. However I am torn because i want very firm shifts, but not very hard. So i dont know wether to put it on the most firm setting and when i get my micro tuner, tune it to exactly where i want it. Or to put it on middle setting and tune it up with the micro tuner when i get it...

What are your thoughts??

If you start at level 2 you can always go firmer but once you've drilled for level 3 you can't go back.
