"03 SCrew helper spring question

Going to be buying a 20' enclosed car trailer soon and have a question about suspension. I've got the 3/4 drop with 20's on the truck and want to know what others are doing with helper springs. I'm thinking about the Firestone bags but will the drop affect the install? The trailer will be empty when hauled with this truck so the weight shouldn't be over 3500-4000lbs. Wouldn't even consider putting the car in it and hauling to the track with this truck. Any suggestions on helpers?

I'm not sure if Firestone offers a kit for the lowered trucks or not, but we do offer an airbag kit specifically designed for being lowered. The kit for your truck would be 59103. This kit is designed for a 2" or a 4" lowered truck, so you won't have any troubles due to the 3/4 kit.

If you have any questions or concerns, let me know and I would be more than happy to help.

Great, thanks! I looked it up through Summit and not only is there a $50 mail in rebate but free shipping this month . So for $212......... I think I'll wait to see how I like them before I get the compressor. Only thing I have to do now is wait until I get home to make sure I have 5" between the tires and the frame rails. I'm almost positive I have plenty of room, just want to measure to be sure.

Put my new Airlift bags on Friday, took a little longer than I originally expected. Ran the airlines out to the back by my plugs and made a little bracket. I'll eventually get a compressor.

Well besides the neighbor coming by a half dozen times looking for help working on his car, it took a little time compressing the bags to fit inside the brackets. The spacer was at the shortest position, so it was a little difficult installing the bags between the brackets with the airline on top and the bolt on the bottom bracket. It was probably more just being cautious, the bags looked pretty wrinkled up installed without air in them. Once the air went in everything looked normal. Thanks for the info on the bags!! They did raise the rear about 1/2" with the recommended 10lbs of air in them though. The truck seems to ride a little smoother and the cornering seems better as well. I'm just glad I can actually haul a trailer again without worry.

how big is the "smallest" spacer? Could you remove it and loose the 1/2" you gained?
