Looking for a bit more drop

I'm lookin for 1-2" more in drop for my 97 supercab. Its got the Belltech 3/4 on it right now. I know L leafs out back should put me where i want to be. Just not sure what the easier up front would be to keep some decent angles.

Then im wanting to bump up to 20x8.5 Boss 335's with a 12 offset (assuming its a +12 offset) Would these clear? And how big of a tire can i go with. I would like to keep as much sidewall as i can, as our roads suck.

Thanks.

I wouldnt go bigger than 275-40-20 if you're looking at 4 or 5" drop up front.

It would be better for angles to do spindles, but its cheaper to just put arms on it.

I vote spindles and Patman nailed the tire size.

Alright. I know you used the rear bolt in notch, Pat. How do you feel about it?

And as for the tire size, sounds good. But around what number of offset should i be aiming for?

i think mine are +12mm but i could be wrong

and i love my notch. I chose to weld it instead of bolting. Not sure i'd truck just bolting it....

hmm.. ok. i thought of askin if ya had actually welded it in after i posted. Since bolts do seem a bit sketchy. I'm assuming you havent noticed any issue with the frame being abnormal in that area after wards? Like slight bend or anything.

Mine rims are +15mm and are fine. I will be installing my DJM notches in a couple of weeks. The notches are pretty damn stout and should be good.

Your 18's are +15? I know my current 18's stick out too far. I would ahve to get some L style ones, or 20's with + offset.

My 20's are +15. I don't know what the L rims are cause I haven't checked them. Have you started work on your truck?

Put a heater in the garage and let the games begin!! I have to duck rain and cold but somehow get things done. Mine is a daily driver so the weekend is usually all I got to get 'r done. My exhaust should be done wednessday. Got the bumpstops and steering stops done Saturday, Coils and plugs done weekend before. and next weekend hope to get some wiring done for the lighted visor mirrors. I will be working on the radiator and a new set of efans soon as well. The list never ends...lol

I wish I had a garage. The pics of my truck on the driveway is where I work on it too.
It sucks But I don't go bankrupt on house payments and I will be building one in the future.

The garage is nice. But i barely fit in length wise, so if its work on the front or back, i have to get it angled in, or hang out into the driveway. But theres a carport outside of the garage, so that still helps.
