Looking for a bit more drop
I'm jealous...lol
I desined the garage already. 20x25. lost of room with workbench and all the bells a whistles. I am gonna insulate it so I can run a 18,000 btu ac unit in the summer and a space heater in the winter if needed. Tired of freezing or sweating to death..lol

My old neighbor had a set up like that...damn I'm jealous. I getting to old to roll a round on the concrete like a dumbass. But yet I do it... can't help it..lol. I just can't leave it alone... Bigger, better, faster, More!!!!! LMAO
A 255/55/18 would be a bit small on a L rim. I have the L rims with 295/45/18 and have no problem. I had to grind off the old steering stops from the back side and I installed 1/2 inch stainless hardware with a nut on both sides of the LCA so it would be adjustable. Go with a 20x8.5 or 9 with a 275/40/20 and you should have no problems. Just make sure you have a +12 to 15 offset on the rims.
Since i didnt see a need to make a new thread. I've been debating bumping the wheel size up to a 22" instead of a 20. I've read alot run 305/40's on the 22's. But think a 285/40/22 would fit a bit better. Since the 04+ trucks have a bit more room from the looks of it. This is also to prevent from adding the extra 2 inches of drop that i really dont need. Since around here, i'm at the practical ride height for any vehicle. But again, im not set on any of my thoughts as of right now.
the 305/40/22 would be 31.60 inches tall and 12 wide. The 285/40/22 would be just under 31 tall and 11.22 wide. It may not fit depending on rim offset. If you went with the 20's with a 275/40/20 it would be 28.66 tall and 10.82 wide. The 20's would fit better IMHO. What size tire are you running now?
