Achieving a 4" Rear Drop Economically?

I already have 2" Groundforce drop shackles and would like to go 2" more for a 4" total drop.. What would be the best/ most cost effective route to take?

Thanks!

I've also heard of people removing the overload spring for some drop.

if you dont haul anything then take out the overload spring, that will drop it about another inch. other than that you are going to be spending some money, either get the eibach springs or a flip kit with a lifting hanger from djm

If you can find a deal on some hangers, I suggest that.

I have a total of about $100 in my rear drop, and that includes shackles, hangers, and leafs.

Just have to search for deals.

Nobody makes a hanger for the 04+ F150s. You can use Belltech's 3" Shackle,3" Leaf Springs or 5" Flip Kit

This is what I was thinking minus the shackles.. Couldn't I run my Groundforce shackle kit with the Eibach leafs? Or there incompatible

Flip kits are far cheaper then drop kits with springs. Being supercharged and hearing the issues with flip kits I went with a ground force spring drop. Anyway, you can get a 2/4 drop for like cheap I think

Well I think my plan of action is going to consist of:

Eibach: Kit # 35112.020-Rear Drop Leafs

Belltech: # 25001BLT-Lowering struts
# 2211EE-Rear Shocks

If all goes as planned it should be <$500!

My question is, will the Groundforce shackles I have work with Eibach leafs.. I believe they will since both the Eibach and GF shackles are compatible with factory leafs.

I've done that. The GF shackles have 2" and 1 1/2" drop settings. I had them with the 3" Eibach leafs and on the bottom set of holes with the GF shackles I got 4.5" of drop. If you want 4" then go with the Eibach 4" leaf/shackle package.

Yea good call on the shackle settings.. The drop-struts are adjustable in 1/2" increments so theoretically I could go with a 2-1/2" and 4-1/2" drop? My tires measure out to 32.6" so I wonder if i'd rub in the front..?

Possibly. Mine are only 31.6 and I don't rub a bit with my 2/4.
