i thought the drop shackles drop it 2"? did you see an increase in fuel economy? and finally, what are your overall thoughts compared to lifted? im having a hard time deciding between dropping the rear 2" and do 22" or 24" wheels or lift the front 2" and level with 33" trail grapplers.

The drop shackles have a 1.5" slot and a 2" slot for dropping the rear. I picked the 1.5" slot as I thought the 2" drop would be too much for me with towing. On MPG I have picked up almost a week's worth of driving. So instead of fulling up every two weeks I am pushing 3 weeks almost now and that is with me heavy on the go pedal. I was getting a solid 15 MPG, should be at 20 now I'm hoping. I have mixed emotions on being lifted, I liked I could see over others on the road. Yet, I did not like the rough ride. Than again I had 3" leveling kit with a long add a leaf and 35's on the truck. I do like it being lowered some as feel more nimble and refined. I went with 265/70/17 tires ~ 32" tall roughly on 17" rims.

My advice is what do you enjoy more, playing in the dirt some or on the streets. I have a buddy with 22's on his GMC at stock height and he takes it down dirt roads no problem. I have a few buddies with 20's, 22's, and 24's yet they just drive street. Me personally never go bigger than a 20" rim. As tires cost more, more wear and tear on the truck. Plus hit a nasty pot hole there went the rim. Happened to a few of my buddies on 24's. Being leveled or lifted has the same effect on wear and tear.

thanks for the reply, im itching to order a set of new wheels/tires but just cant decide for nothing on which direction to go lol right now its either level + 22 wheels and 33" hankook all terrains or lower the rear like you and do 22s or 24s w/ a 295/40 tire for more sidewall. i dont off road at all, just need 4x4 for the snow in the winter, other than that its just street driving.

If I was you I would go with 22's and the lowered route than. Still be able to function as a truck and drive great on the streets.
