Is there a 5/7 drop kit available for these trucks? I read pat mans thread but I'm not sure what products he used to achieve this drop. Any help would be appreciated.

the front is limited. coils, control arms, and spindles are you only options. the rear is a bit more open. shackles, hangers, and leafs, or even do a flip kit. but yes, a 5/7 drop is realistic..

 

So up front how would you obtain the 5" drop? Do 2" drop spindles plus 2" coils give you a total of 4" drop? Or are 2" coils used with 2" drop spindles to obtain 2" and ride quality? Just a little lost on how ppl add different drop spindles and arms and coils etc. To achieve certain drops. Just looking to be taught a bit about drops. Thanks

 

Patrick is running a 3" Eibach Pro coil and 2" Belltech LCAs up front

In the rear he has 2"/3" Eibach adjustable drop hangers, 2" Belltech drop shackles, and 99-02 Lightning leaf springs (2-2.5")

Just remember on 20"+ wheels can be used with drop spindles

 

Minimum wheel size is 18"

 

there is also alot of "trimming" needed up front to clear in the fender wells with a 5" drop

What about the ball joint angles after a drop spindle? Is it not better to drop doing upper lower control arms?

 

I've always preferred spindles because of bushings. If I remember correctly DJM doesn't use a stock bushing for their control arms.

 

So ball joint angles are not an issue using drop spindles?
