pinion angle

ok guys i finally got my replacement flip kit from djm my old one broke when i drive shaft broke and i cant remember how i had my axle set last time when the truck is at ride height does my axle need to be level or does it need to be angled up or angled down it says on djms website Check the drive line angle. You want the drive shaft to be straight from
the transmission back to the rear end. This can only be checked with the
tires on the ground(at ride height). Adjust pinion angle as necessary. but what does straight back mean like level from trans back or angled from the trans back cause the problem i have is i dont have a drive shaft im having one made

axle perches should be roughly level to the ground, and the driveshaft should be straight into the pinion

as you apply torque to the ring gear, the pinion gear tends to climb up the ring, and forces the pinion up, so definitely do not have pinion angled up

the face of the pinion flange should be perpendicular to the driveshaft
