are you just doing a 2"? if so you shouldn't need to mod anything. i lowered the rear 6" and didn't.

Ive got 2" shackles now with my overload spring taken out. and 2" drop coils and my back is only about an 1.5" higher so i measured the space in between my bed and the apex of my shackle and have enough room to to lengthen my stock shackles out and get it level

what you think?

well first of all, remember its not how much you lower it, its how you lower it. in Jsvo's case he has leafs and shackles, or a flip kit. If you lower the front of the leafs and the rear of the leafs evenly you shouldnt really need to mess with the angle, but that isnt always 100% true.

Tolerances on most trucks are + or - 2* Im not sure the exact spec on your truck, but you want it pretty dang close to straight.

Also keep in mind that a 2" drop shackle is 4" longer then a factory shackle. when you drop only one side of the leaf, you need twice the measurement you want to drop to get the effective drop. so if you measure you have 2" of clearance and you make the shackles 1.5" longer then you will only get effective drop of .75"
