yea i would try and limit yourself to around 1000 pounds, less if possible.

Actually I do have the 3:73 rear with LS. The overall tire diameter between the 20" aftermarket wheel and the 17" spare was around 30", they were within 1/2" of each other. I drove like this for around 100 miles with no bad effects. I think the "blowing up diff" happens when somebody with monster mudder tires tries to run a dinky spare on the back.
