Need new 3" lowering rear leafs

I lowered my truck w/ the McGaughys 2/4 drop. The front is fine but the rear sounds terrible. The leafs rattle and clank when I hit the smallest bump. Yes, I've checked and everything is tight. The leafs are just noisy. Anyways, I'd like to get either the roush or eibach 3" lowering leaf springs. Is one or the other better? I do very little towing, so that's not a huge factor, but it is still somewhat of a factor. Anyone know a good place to buy them? I already have the GF Shackles to make it either a 4 or 5 inch drop. Thanks.

Have you figured out what is making the noises? I've heard of leafs squeaking but not the type of noise you are describing.

I think it's just the ends of the leafs basically banging together. The leafs just dont seem tight. Actually, when I first lowered the truck, the rear was waaaay lower than 4 inches. Was almost tucking the rear tires. Plus axle rap like you wouldn't believe. I took the over load leaf (flat leaf) off the stock leaf springs and added them to the mcgaughys. Then it was too high, so then I used the GF shackles I already had, and that fixed the ride height, but they are still noisy. I talked to Mcgaughys about it a while ago when I lowered the truck but they were of no help. They didn't really seem to care. I have nothing good to say about them.

Any preference which is better, Rousch or Eibach? I've gotta change these things out.

what shocks are you running?

have you checked to make sure your spare is hanging tightly under the truck?

I'm running bilstein shocks. The spare is pulled up tight. Trust me when i say I have spent quite a bit of time under the truck looking for anything that could be loose. I'm sure it's the leafs.

Just a tidbit.

I know I had issues with the GF rear shocks I had. When I installed them I thought they were tight, but they were not and it sounded like metal on metal when I went over small bumps. The width of the bushing was less than the shock mount, causing some play. I squeezed out the space (should have used some washers for spacers) with the bolts and the sound went away. When I went with the Eibach pro dampers I didn't have this issue, the shocks fit perfectly.

what method did you do when you did the leafs? Did you drop the tank or cut the bolt? if you dropped the tank, you sure the straps are reinstalled correctly?

are you sure the leafs are in correctly front to back and not backwards?

Im not trying to be a jerk and sound like im suggesting stupid things, just trying to make sure everything is thought through before you order some new parts.
