How much drop?

So count me as one of the few who dosen't like "lifted" trucks. I pretty much love my height, but I love the look of the lowered stance of a truck such as the few around here. Question is, I am looking to go down an inch or two to make it seem a tad more agressive. I won't be buying soon, just shopping at the moment.

I like Patman's and dirtyd's trucks, the latter with a Belltech 2" drop shackles. How much do they run, whats the difference between these different types of lowering kits and stuff like that. Will my towing/hauling be affected? And whats the regular price for these things? Heres a pic of how she sits now. I was thinking of 1/3" drop, or 2" all around. What do you think?

Sorry for the crappy pics, some friends dunno how to operate a camera

Just go ahead and drop it more. Sooner or later you're going to want to drop it more...then some more...and so on. At least that's what my friend with a bagged GMC keeps telling me.

im dropped 4/4 and towing / hauling is fine...
still use the truck to haul my drywall and construction materials everywhere...

imo... if your going to drop it.. drop it enough.. cause your just going to want it dropped more in the future...

im running over sized tires or else my truck would be slammed... im already tucking in the front... and plan on dropping it even more this season.

I have drop shackles in the rear of mine. Your dad won't even notice.. i hardly noticed a difference. Would like to get some Lighting springs for the front, bring it down a little more.

if you do the 99-02 lightning springs (coils and leafs) should put you around 1.5 up front, and 2" rear. Should be lowered, without being slammed. And your towing would be whatever lightnings are rated at.

second best option is run a 3" drop hanger, and that would be a tough install for someone that hasnt done it before, but will not lower your towing/payload much.

last option, and most cost effective, and easiest install, is 2 or 3" drop shackles. The longer the shackle is the more it hurts your towing and payload.

My last setup was 3/5 and i was planning on and buying parts for a 4/6.

Of course im sure youve seen the pics of me pulling trailers while lowered, so its still do able. If not i can post pics up if you'd like me to.
