Alignment ?

With 2" drop coils are there any additional parts needed for a proper alignment? There isn't a reputable alignment shop in my area and that is whats stopping me from lowering my truck.

You need an alignment especially if you're dropping the front. A drop with coils will really mess with the camber and destroy your tires like no tomorrow.

Keep looking and I'm sure you'll find a good shop to do it.

Yeah,I knew you need a alignment after dropping the front, but where I live there are your normal shops. But there the kind where you go in and come out worse than it was. lol There is one shop I need to check into heard good things about them. Also that is one good lookin truck Arca ex! How low is the lowest point on the frame? Alittle bumpy around here.

Thanks

The lowest point is the running boards on my truck, I would say around 10" off the ground, it's pretty low since I only use it for the street.

Arca ex, I posted about the block on the rear of my fx2 I want to take it out. I want a level stance it still sits about 11/2" higher in the rear even with the drop shackles. Also how much drop in the rear before carrier bearing modifications? Looks like you went through all that so figured you would be the one to ask. Thanks for the info.

Well let's see, I don't know much about removal of the block but I've heard that you just take the weight off the rear suspension, loosen up the U-Bolts a bit and they should drop out. But you may have to get shorter U-Bolts, although I'm surprised your FX2 has blocks in it. A drive shaft hangar relocation kit isn't really necessary for something like a 2" drop with shackles in the rear but with me sitting at about 4" to 6" of drop (I can vary it with the rear airbags), a Hangar Kit was absolutely necessary. This is also partly due to the fact that I used a flip kit on my rear end. I'm not sure if that's the case for say a 4" suspension drop. There are a couple guys riding pretty low with suspension drops so maybe they can answer that one.

How much (in total) have you dropped it so far? And how much (again, in total) do you plan on having it lowered?

EDIT: Now that I read your post again, if you want it to sit exactly level you could look into buying 1/2" blocks to replace the 1" blocks there (if they exist?) to lower an additional 1/2" in the rear.

That 1" block from what I have read is with the towing package. Mine has what the dealer said it had a 7000lb towing capacity. So I am going to order the shorter u-bolts from the dealer. I want to do a 2"x3" drop with the roush kit but will probably wait till spring. So for now I will jerk the blocks out of it because I measured about 1 and a 1/4" higher in the rear so im guessing Should have roughly a 1/4" rake on it. Not really doing any major towing so that wont be a problem. One more question how do you put your mods list on your profile thingy not much on a puter lol.

Also going to put the roush chin spoiler on it seems to drop a little farther down which should help the eye my truck use to sit like a 4x4 not much on that if it aint you know. But with the 2" shackles and taking the block out should look allrite. Done put the offroad roush exhaust on didnt know it would sound that good.

I have the full towing package and no blocks

Click the User CP link in that black bar near the top of the page, then on the left hand toolbar click Edit Signature, type whatever you want in the box and hit save.

I have a 2/4 drop and a Roush chin spoiler and I haven't hit anything with it. Of course I am on 22's with 305/40-22 tires.

As for the alignment, any good alignment shop will get you back to spec.

What kind of kit did you use Stealth for the 2/4 drop?

I pieced it together. I have 2" Ground Force springs loaded in stock coilovers, and Eibach 3" rear drop leafs with 2" Ground Force shackles on the 1" setting with GF shocks. Works well.

Is the roush 2/3 kit worth the price tag or just the name? I love the exhuast.

Honestly I have no clue. I have the Roush Off Road exhaust and it's awesome.

Yeah, I had a flowmaster super 44 and honestly it sounded awesome but wreak havoc on my ears inside the cab. Never really noticed until I put the roush on that either I got back or gained some low end torque.
