Finished the Eibach 2-3 kit.

This was a really easy job. Lowering the gas tank to remove the spring bolt was a piece of cake too. The whole deal took about 4 hrs.

I was already planning on taking those things off. Im also going to go another inch down in the back, and put the helper bags on it.

Looks great!

Here's mine.

I have 3" eibach springs with 2" GF shackles on the 1" setting, so it's a 2"X4" drop total. I bought the McGaughy's helper bag kit, put it on knowing they were not designed for my leafs, and the brackets hit each other when the bags are just about deflated. Unless you want to do some modification to the kit, don't buy their kit and use them with Eibach leafs.

Thats good info. That was the kit I was going to buy. Now I need to find a different one. I didnt think the leafs would be that much different then the mcgaughys.

Nice. I've had my Eibach 2/3 kit in my garage for at least 5 months. Highly concerned about ride, driveshaft issues and tire wear to put the friggin' thing on. How is your ride, tire wear, etc. after the install? Any tips or tricks appreciated. - Og

The truck handles a lot better. It does have a stiffer ride, but Im used to having sports cars, and its not as stiff as they were. I didnt have any driveline issues, but my truck had the one piece driveshaft. The front was a lot easier to do then the rear. No problems with rubbing, and I have 22's with 305 40 tires. As for tire wear, as long as you get the truck aligned this shouldnt be a problem. I dont have enough miles on mine to tell.

You didn't need shims? I've heard about driveshaft vibration. - Og

The ride is stiffer than stock, as stated by abelrob, but is fine. I think since you're using just the 3" leafs out back you shouldn't have any vibrations, but I could be wrong. I did a 4" drop with GF shackles/shims and the leafs, so I had to do a carrier bearing relocation bracket, one that raises the carrier bearing, since I have a 2 piece drive shaft.

I'm assuming Ford stopped using the 2 piece in '06 or '07. Not sure about that, though. Been hearing positive remarks about the kit with the addition of shorter shocks and a major alignment. Still a little iffy, but I'm sure the drop will get done soon. Not a rush, though. The kit is sitting on the side of the garage my wife parks on.

By the way, loving the blacked out theme, Stealth. Nice ride, dude. - Og

Thanks, I am still working on the look, thanks to a collision and hailstones. I've got a reflexxion non cobra hood in the garage and a fender, front upper bumper cover, ans rear Roush bumper cover at my friend's place, he's going to paint them, sometime. Still have some hail damage to fix on the roof too.

Hail? I know that sucks. Staying black or going custom? - Og

My favorite color is black. It's staying . The hailstorm happened while I was at work, no possible way to protect her. Sickening to watch. I didn't see the truck getting hit, since I park like 300+ yards from where I work in the plant, but I knew it was bad.
