New GF Bump Stops?

I ordered some GF air shocks for my 05 F150 which I lowered 3.5/5 with DJM. The guy at GF also said they had a new bump stop they are using for their flip kits and that it would help stop the bottoming out. I get the stops in the mail and they are about 2-3 inches tall. Where as my bump stops from DJM are 1/2 inch. There is maybe 4 inches from the frame to the axle leaving little travel with these new bump stops. My question is do these GF ones go in the same place as the normal bump stops and if so do they compress enough to not worry about them causing a rougher ride?

Thanks
Chris

I have the flip and air shocks and had to cut my bump stops down to about half an inch as well. Otherwise, plan on LOTS of bottoming out.

Pictures of DJM Before/After

Not the greatest pics but you get the idea.

After:

Someday I'll take better looking pics and I might even wash it
BTW I installed the air shocks and it really helps out. Still need to fine tune the amount of psi though.

That drop look great. I was trying to deside if I wanted the 2.5/4 or the 3.5/5 and I think I just made up my mind. Thanks for the pics.

Ya I really like the looks of the 3.5/5.
Just be sure you get a front end alignment as soon as you can.
I did have to trim the tie rod ends a little to get it all correct.
Have fun!

What do the airshocks do and were they worth it?

I'm curious because i'm dropping mine soon with eibach leafs, GF shackle, and eibach coils up front.

My bump stops are like 1/2" thick of super hard plastic. They came with the drop kit I bought, but I installed a rear airbag helper kit so I wouldn't bottom out. They work great and at about 20-30PSI I don't bottom out at all anymore. Before I had them I would bottom out when I rolled out of my driveway haha.
