effects of 2" shackles

I was wonder if a 2" drop to level my truck will effect the payload and by how much?
Secondly, if i put the lowering shackles on do i need new shocks or can i keep the stock ones?

should be fine with everything stock. its not going to affect payload other than get you 2" closer to bottoming out the axle on the frame once you're at capacity. to avoid it, I would swap out the stock bumpstops for button bumps and you'll gain that 2" of travel back.

If you're not swapping out the leafs, you'll keep the same capacity as stock.

i've had my shackles for a couple of months and i'm always draging something around, with no probs. only thing i see that would give you alittle probs is the bump stop like dribone said.
