Thinking about this Shelby hood vent mod, but I have a couple of concerns. Molding it in and water travel underneath. Don't want cracks in molding around it later and definitely don't want a rusted hood. If I was to "attempt" it, I would paint it to match and position it about where the pic shows. I think it would be a subtle, but sporty addition. I read where the vent is not that expensive. The body work would probably be a little extensive. Thoughts? - Og

og - I really did like that mod when i saw it, and thought the same thing. It should be positioned as shown.

I wouldnt think it impossible to scheme a way to divert any water off to the side as long as you have an imagination and some materials.

great alternate to buying an expensive hood. good luck - interested in the results (i kinda want to do it)

Wonder what kind of water diversion they have on the Shelby? Nice option to an all-out steel custom hood. Seriously considering it, after I grow a pair. :o - Og

I'm sure they use a molded piece that is either glued or welded to the bottom side - and that channels the water off to the sides.

call up the plant that makes it and have em mail you one

realistic

fix the emergency brake :P

2-4 / 3-5 drop, I can't decide which kit.
American Racing Torque Thrust ST
General Grabber UHP 275/55/R20
Tint
09 Emblems
black valance,
black honey comb grille, new emblem
black headlights,
something with the bumper.. chrome, black, STX
Stillen one piece roll pan PTM
MAC intake
Programmer thinger
LED tailgate lightbar
seat covers

unnecessary but still kind of desired...

needs paint work
Double DIN head unit
decent subwoofer

unrealistic.. all that +

complete air ride technologies, air bar in the rear with shockwaves in the front on the level pro system.
Saleen 23's or Boss 330 24's
4.6L 3V (maybe from a wrecked Mustang GT) with the Saleen 302 Stroker kit, keep it N/A but mate it to a 6 speed Tremec.
good paint job, shave the tailgate, re-locate handle.
Line-X

I was wondering about the suspension. The belltech kit replaces only the strut which gives from 1 to 3 inches of drop, and the flip kit gives 5 inches for the rear. Will I need a c-notch for 5 inches ? A 3-5 drop looks pretty badass on a reg cab short box, but I don't want to cut the frame.. should I just play it safe with a 2-4 kit ? The truck is my daily driver so I'd prefer to keep it as stock feeling as possible, with as much drop as possible.

anyways those are my plans. I better get working :P

You don't have to cut the frame on a 3/5 drop. Take a look at DJM's kit.

That's the one I'll be getting.

powdercoating the L rims black and probably throwin some toyo proxes on them
LED tails and LED all throught the interior

sounds like fun, but you might want to add some sway bars to that
