VIDEO: supercharged prelude vs modded lightning

This is a guy we met on here. He has a really nice 02 Lightning with a few mods done to it. He dynod 392 and 470 before the electric fan and shaved water pump so he should be pushing over 400 to the wheels now (i'm sure he'll post). Its pretty impressive we ran from 40-120 in the video. The prelude let off at the top of 4th (right before the end of the vid), we weren't in a good place to run out some of 5th but it would of been interesting i'm sure.

Awesome truck Nathan, it was nice meeting you! Nice runs

Hey guys. Had alot of fun making that video. there are four runs. I lost 2 due to someone hooking up my boost dump plug.. Prelude and f150girl were both very nice. They treated me with respect even though i was on their "teritory". They could have called my truck anything but a lightning but they didn't. Very nice respectable people and f150girl is anything but ugly fellas . The car is quick. We did it from a 40mph punch. The problem with that is there is a grey area for our computer that won't do a 4th - 2nd downshift if you are between 40 - 45mph. I forgot about this and thus the result was a sluggish 4th - 3rd shift. You can correct it though turning OD OFF. I didn't learn that till later on though. Kinda stupid since our truck will do a 4th - 2nd downshift doing 65mph but not 40. but anyways. the car is really quick and it was fun and thats all that counts. Later.

Nate:

I've experienced that 40-45 mph no-downshift grey area, too. It's very irritating, but there are ways to deal with it, as you know!

Just to say, I really get sick of that 40-45 mph gray area also.

The other day I was so mad, I just dropped it into 1st. Kinda dumb, i guess. The tires squeeled from the truck slowing down so fast. Hope it's all good.

I just watched that movie for the first time. How fast were you guys going when the vid stops? I know it wasn't 120.
