supercharged prelude vs modded lightning
For one thing, I feel it would take longer than 7 seconds to get to 120. And, when the vid stops the rpms aren't up there at all. It's like you just shifted, and you said you went to the top of 4th. Plus, I never hear anyone let off.
I know that you would know better than I would since you were the one racing, but since the vid just suddenly stops in the middle of the race, it doesn't give me a clear picture.

Yeah, i'm confused. some people say i hit 2nd...but i don't know. My tuner said there are certain speeds to be at for our power range to get the jump on someone. he said 30 mph and 55mph. I'm talking with someone right now on doing a computer re-flash to try to get something more out of her.
sounded like he was at the very top of 4th to me... maybe it wasn't 120... maybe it was like 118-- but we can't tell you the absolute exact speed. and i don't know nathan's truck well enough to listen for it-- the prelude supercharger sound is all i can hear. and as for the end-- i think we stopped the video right there to show you the lead that nathan had. ( so that shot you get at the end of the video is like the "photo finish" haha) cause after that was when we let off. these videos are supAr edited for your maximum viewing pleasure! gesh do i have to explain everything?!
actually it was more like 12 seconds-- which is how long it takes to go from 40 in second to 120 in 4th in the prelude.

whats you oppinion ? my tuner said i did hit second and i just wasn't in my power range. I will be so glad to get rid of this chip. I thought i only hit 3rd.... but the video isn;t long enough to tell.

You should know if you hit second or third. Did the truck up-shift at all during the race? I'm guessing you could probably hit 120 in 3rd. Am I correct?
I know I hit around 110 in 3rd at 4000 rpm. That's when my speed limiter kicks in. I could probably hit 120-130 or so in 3rd.

I actually believe when i punched it i only got a 3rd gear down shift. Everyone has me convinced othweriwse. I don't know. A friend told me his truck shifts to 1st at 40 mph , and my tuner says thats not correct. Some people say your truck shifts out of 3rd at 120mph. I pay more attention to the road at high speeds than my shifts. I'm working on a new tune. I just know if i do anymore 40 mph punches i have it out of O/D. I raced an SS camaro and he got the jump on me from 40 when i had O/D off . ..big jump and he stayed only 1 car length ahead of me up to 100mph. I think its in my tune. I'm running a JDM street tune with nothing special done. I don't think it's aggressive enough.
Well, when I punch mine from 40, I believe it downshifts to 2nd. At least most of the time. I'll have to check it out the next time I go out. Obviously, it's not going to be the same as yours because mine's not a lightning. But, I know I don't get the kick in the pants from the 2nd downshift until around 65 or so, when boost starts kicking in. I'm hoping that will change with the new gears.
Ok if you watch the video about 2 secs after the race starts you can see the camera shake, thats the prelude going into 3rd gear. The lightning is what you can hear, it goes through 2 gears. So either it shifted to 3rd at 40mph and then to 4th later on, you can hear the 2nd shift.
my guess the lightning shifts to 3rd at 40mph, and 5 seconds later it goes into the next gear somewhere around 90mph i'm give or take, and then rides 4th out to around 115ish or wherever the video cuts off at. Unless it went to 2nd gear at 40 and then shifted to 3rd around 80-85 and held 3rd out to around 115? i don't know how the gearing works. so its either of the 2 gears, same speeds tho. what speed does 1st, 2nd, 3rd upshift at?
