I honestly can't give you a comparison between the two Infinity's. I've only run the Kappa's. I know that if you shop the web you can pick up the Kappa's for less than a $100. At this price I'm not sure I would take second best.

2002S-Crew....i wanted ya to know that if ur looking for those pioneer 3-ways.....they are 99.99 at www.crutchfield.com ....i thought u might wanna know b/c that site u had posted has the same speakers for like $130....PLUS crutchfield will give u a harness for each speaker so u dont have to cut into ur factory wires....hopes this helps ya....and u may want to add an amp....but most people just buy an aftermarket cd player...since their amps are more powerful than stock cdplayers...good luck man

You do not need to get an aftermarket head to use an amp. You can purchase a high quality isolated LOC (Line-Out converter) from www.davidnavone.com. Do not get the POS Scosche one from Walmart. It is not isolated correctly and can add noise to your installation. I still use the stock head unit and a 900 watt Kicker Amp and it sounds awesome. I have a 10" sub in a subbox.net box. Check my sig.

Pioneer does have a better midrange..I had 3way 6x8s in the ford and a friend suggested kenwood excelon series 3 way 6x8s he swore by em'..after installing (which is very easy) the sound was much better than the pios.. and as far as the kappas over the refs..I prefer kappas..much clearer..plus it really depends on the type of music you listen to..different speakers sound better when playing different music but enjoy and have fun doing it! good luck!

pioneer 3-ways dont even have a mid-range...they have a low range, tweeter, and super tweeter.......pioneers are meant to have decent bass and clear highs

Cool

Not to muddy up the waters too much but...

You can also mount 6 1/2" round speakers into the factory mounting holes without any cutting. In my scenario, I used one of the existing screw holes and drilled one more. I mounted the speakers into the hole after sealing the entire door with RAAMmat and have not had any problems at all.

IMO, the 6 1/2"s have way better sound than any 5x7 or 6x8. I tried the 6x8 Cerwins, then went to 5x7 Polks, then went to MB Quart 6 1/2s and could not be happier.
