trying to decide

I'm curently still looking for the dimensions for a custom box for 2 10's but was also thinking that I could get by with a setup I saw in crutchfield it was a loaded kicker box that looks as though it would fit perfectly behing the seat in the L with the seat all the way back. My question is would it sound better to run that or the 2 10's I currently have a kicker zr240 that I would be bridgeing to the L5 that is in the kicker box. so i'm looking for all honest opinions 2 alpine type r 10's with my amp or the L5
thanx

I don't think you have enough power to run either setup. If it were me I would look for some more efficient subs...but if I had to choose one of the setups you mentioned, it would be the L5.

I went to the audio shop saturday and got a quote on my setup in my Lightning . (2) 10`s ,custom box , 2 quartz door speakers for highs, 2 amps --1 for subs --1 to push highs, new alpine deck , installed price was $1,400. I also liked the sound of the new JL W7 ( awesome sound ) so i asked about a price on just (1) 10 " in the Jl and if i went that way it is gonna cost me $1,560 . The guys at the shop said the (1) JL W7 would be no comparision to (2) jl w3`s . I did get to listen to the W7 and it has a great sound . The box for the JL W7 would have to be built kinda wierd but i am really thinking of going with it . If I go that route the sub will be setup to push against the floor . I am gonna make a decision tomorrow on which sub or subs i want .There are alot of pictures of boxes if you do a search . RTKILLA has a nice looking setup . I will let you know which way i went and add a pic or 2 after it is all installed.

How much power do you think I need? I had this amp pushing 2 kenwoods 12's in my 4th gen camaro and they pounded. I really didn't wanna have to aquire another amp..

You can use that amp if you find subs that are more efficient. Look for some subs that only require 150 - 200 watts RMS.

my quetion would be that would this amp pushing the l5 sound good? Imean would it hit? or would it just be a complete waste of time and money. I'm having a hard time understanding if this amp is as weak as people say it is... I had it pushing to 12's previosly and 2 kicker comp vr 12's prior to that and they hit really hard. the kenwoods were in a sealed box ad the kickers were in band pass. any more input would be appreciated
