Do I Need A Sub
Do I Need A Sub
I have finally decided on most of my equipment for my 2002 FX4 Screw.
I plan to go with a Pioneer DEH-P8400MD head unit, a Pioneer CDXC760 CD changer, and Pioneer 6*8 3 way speakers (TS A6867).
After all of this do I really need to add an amp and sub. My biggest problem with a sub is there is no good place to put it. I've considered a self powered tube such as a Bazooka.
What do you think? Any ideas.

Yes! Definatley get a bazooka. I just put my 8" amplified RS bazooka in my truck yesterday. And I was totally blown away. It really pounds out the low notes with force. And it's really loud. Get the bazooka, you won't be dissapointed.
PaP, just depends on what kinda sound you want. If you are into music go for the amp and sub, this will bring a nice spectrum of highs and lows. If you are comfortable with the stock speakers, just get some good quality oe aftermarket replacments, and in this case you will not need an amp.
Good luck and let us know what you decide to do.
P.S. they can always customize a box for your truck. If you do not have a supercab of larger, MTX makes a molded subwoofer and amp set up for the reg cab f-150's. A bazooka may take up more space.
Carefully weigh out all options before investing any kind of money.
