Will 6x9 's work

I have a 1997 F150 XLT Ext Cab, has anyone tried to make a pair of 6x9's fit in the rear factory speaker location.

Yes some have done it but i hear its not worth it since there is little to no change in the levels or quality that the driver hears.

No .................................................. .................................................. ................................................yo u have to CUT METAL..............and you will have a TERRIBLE time get shallow mount 6x9's for the doors. My 6.5 inch drivers barely fit in the doors. Besides............I don't understand why everyone always wants 6X9's ..........believe me........I'd rather have components the some 6X9's.

Would cost you most to get 6 X 9 's installed than to buy new speakers most likely i had the same thought since i have some BA 6 x 9's.

Their is no being cheap when it comes to Audio. Otherwise it will sound like the cheap factory system you want to remove. Sound right?

That is very true cheap equipment = cheap tinny sound and it will leave you asking why the hell is my brand new system sounding like crap.
