Help please......
mounting depth is 4.875" on the w6... dunno about the w3s.

the subbox.net dual down 10" has a mounting depth of 5.5" so, yeah they'll fit.
hmm... just realized those are 6 ohm subs. odd.
I'm partial to polk speakers tho... right now, I'm two running mm100s (5-1/4"), which are about half an inch deeper than the JL w6, and I'm going to replace those (warranty replacement) with the newer m104s when I replace my sub amps with a single beast in 2 weeks.

are you sure that your box is the same size as the subbox.net box? how much did you pay and you should talk to them about building them and shipping them out tell them for some free work you will promote them and they will have lots of business hah then just put them on here as a subbox.net alternative and show your box as the demo
.
Later..........
o yea if they dont go for it just ask them how much for 1 box for me

W6's are dual 6 ohm. You wire each sub in series for 12 ohms, then 3 of them in parallel for 4 ohms. So they're meant to be used ideally as a triple set.
However, if you run them 3 ohm parallel in stereo it will require slightly more power from your amp v.s. 4 ohm mono. 2 subs in parallel are 1.5 ohms so you'll need a class-D amp or other amp that can take such a low impedance.
Leave at least 3/4 inch or more between the vented pole piece and the back of the box for cooling.

I plan on the JL amp 500/1 in parallel down to 1.5 i appreciate the info and i was aware of the ideally 3 but the only reason im going with W6 is because W3 doesnt fit on paper at all.
Thanks for the info.

hehe I bought mine through a custom shop in Austin about a year ago for about 110 bones... and yeah I'm sure its the same size box. For those of you that cant get a response from "andy" or whatever his name is, try http://www.proboxrocks.com/ford/00upextendeddf.shtml
...hell anyone who has worked in customer service knows that if you dont take care of your customers (or prospective customers), someone else will. Guess in this case, someone else will indeed.
For those of you that have already paid for one and are awaiting shipment 2 months+ later... first try having your credit card company put a stop payment on the purchase (or see what they recommend along those lines) trust me.. if "andy" starts seeing a bunch of chargebacks for money that he's already recieved on orders, his butt will get moving in a hurry. Second- Contact "andy's" better business beareau and file a report. Third- a small claims court summons is a fairly effective way of lighting a fire underneath a deadbeat company's ****.
and finally, to quote the infamous Roy D. Mercer...
"How big a boy are ya?"
"When was the last time you had a country a$$whoopin'?"

Your setup Ruune
Hey Ruune, I saw the pics you have posted of your setup. Looks slick. One thing though, I was wondering if it is a good idea to mount the amps directly on the enclosure. Seems most current amps have circuit boards on them & the constant pounding from the sub might be bad.
Thanks for the tip on that site that has the boxes like yours. I think I am going to get one of the seat riser kits & then make my own box just so the box can be a little bigger.
Also, I talked to Andy just yesterday & he seemed nice enough. He said the 12" boxes are closer to .86 cu. ft
